Ok... - drifter911 - 02-12-2010

I have the package and i have unpacked it to my desktop and installed SCons and everything else.

What i need to know is what directory do i need to be in and how do i get there. After that what command do i run? And why won't SCons work?

You need install the development packages for boost and asio. They should be available in your distro. On fedora they're just called boost-devel and asio-devel

Ok i got it installed and it is working but i have another problem.

I am using a ViewSonic VA9036 and when i try opening Vdrift my monitor says "out of range" I turned the resolution down to 800x600 to speed the game up but then i restarted it gave me that message.

Can you help?

If you delete your ~/.vdrift/VDrift.config file it will reset to default settings.

i moved my vdrift.conf file to trash and it still won't work. Btw the message comes from my screen and not from my pc

If you open your ~/.vdrift/VDrift.config file with a text editor, you can change the line "fullscreen = true" to "fullscreen = false" and that should make it start up in a window.
