Is there a new release for mac os x since the 3-23-07 one. If so, could someone point me towards it please?

It doesn't seem to be working. When I click on the icon to open it, it doesn't do anything.

Try starting it from a terminal and collecting the output from there. It will likely complain about where the data directory is. Correct that, and it should work.

there has been no release for any platform since then. the best you can find is prebuilt SVN snapshots

i now know why your builds don't start for most people...the Ogg.framework we make use of currently is br0ken...i'll look at it
btw, @Kricor: if you install this package the builds should work:

The Ogg framework is broken? How'd that happen? And how come it works for so many people if it's broken? Or does this have something to do with how we install it - are we installing it?

yes, the vorbis one likely too

because they never worked to begin with

because if you already have them installed in /Library/Frameworks or ~Library/Frameworks, you won't notice...like me

yes.
they "work" but not if installed inside the application bundle, like we are doing. i'll build some that work when installed in the app-bundle.

@cotharyus: ok if you update to R1861 and do a clean rebuild the resulting image should work ... ;-)

Hmm, that's unfortunate, why would they block us? Perhaps since we're on shared hosting they are trying to block someone else on the same IP address. That sucks...

It's because the people who run the servers don't want us to slack off while doing our work. So, they put Websense on and now all websites with games or anything that is not educational is blocked.

I got full admin access last year on my schools server (i did maintenance) lol.
Its the DOE that does the blocking. anything with the word "Game" "XXX" or anything like that is blocked. but there are ways around it. also last i checked (last year) vdrift isnt blocked in NYC. try a translation website and translate it from english to (drum roll please) ENGLISH! tricks it some how
