Hello again.

First of all I would like to say that, unfortunately for me I discovered this game recently. It's a pity I hadn't enjoyed it before. The reason for this thread is that I see that the game hasn't had a new release version since 2014, and in my opinion it would be nice to be able to make a new one that includes all the improvements made so far in the code.It would be a good way to re-advertise the game and for more people to join in its development.
It would also be nice if this new version reached the repositories of the most popular distributions, because it is impossible, for example, to find a way to install it easily in Ubuntu.
As I commented in another thread, publish it as Snap and Flatpak in https://snapcraft.io/store and in https://flathub.org  would give a lot of publicity to the project and a lot of new people could know it.

Greetings!

Distros typically require a FOSS license. The license status of vdrift data is unfortunately not very clear.

One idea I had was to modify the car/track updates downloader code to be able to download all data, so that we only have to ship the executable which is GPL.

Alternatively one could ship a really minimal data set known to be GPL compatible. One just would have to identify the cars and tracks that are safe and document it.

If there are problems with the licenses you can always use Snaps or flatpaks for the distribution.... or just a compressed file with the binaries . But the first options are more visible to everyone.
How do I connect my HP wireless printer to my laptop?

HP Wireless printers can be connected to any laptop or computer by installing HP Scan Doctor from HP official website. After installing the software, it will scan your network for available printers. Here you will have to select your printer to start printing. hp wireless printer setup
