TORCS stands for The Open Race Car Simulator. It is probably the most complete racing game available to the Linux gamer. It has many nice tracks and cars, and a long development history.

Automanic is a vehicular deathmatch game, hopefully becoming the best of Twisted Metal, Interstate '76, the Burnout Games, and Carmageddon, focusing on cross-country carnage. It uses Crystal Space, CEL, and ODE.

This racing simulation has quite an impressive community of people who have added cars and tracks to the game. While the source code is available, this is not an open source project.

A fun online racing game. Has a big underground following, network play is great. Demo is available for free (Windows only).
