The Windows build is out. A Linux build will come as soon as I work out the issues with the autopackage. I guess I should make a source package too...

Any comments on the OS X or FreeBSD side of things?

Does that mean that an update to the svn sources (which is currently broken as the xcode project hasn't been updated to include bullet 2.66) will follow shortly?

oh yeah sorry i forgot to commit the fixes to the project...doin' so now

BTW: could the story for the windows RC be modified to list the mac one as well? don't think we need separate stories for RCs on different platforms...

abs1nth, I'm not sure how I want to do the stories...I think maybe just go ahead and create a new one, if for no other reason that it updates our RSS feed which some people may be watching for new OS X releases.

What cars/tracks did you include in the OS X RC, abs1nth?

hm i'm quite sure there is a way to bump the RSS feed without creating a new story, but i can do one if you like.

since the xcode project deployment script still contains things to create a full and minimal disk image like in our before-the-last-one release i just used that one:

cars: TL2, XS, CO, FF
tracks: lagunaseca, zandvoort

I could manually edit the RSS feed but I think it's auto-generated when a new story is posted so it would get overwritten. Might as well go ahead and post a new story. You can even set it as featured if you like. It doesn't need a lot of detail, after all it's just a Release Candidate.

I think the minimal data set will change for the actual release. I included the cars XS, TL2, 360, AX2 and GT. The reason being that I know all these were originals not imported from a commercial game, which we have permission to distribute.

The same goes for the tracks. I included the 3 '88 tracks. They were made by the same author and we have been given permission to distribute them. They are quite large, however...so I think I'll remove at least one of them and include VIR instead, since it was not from a commercial game.

Any thoughts on this? abs1nth, no need to recreate the RC, that's fine for now.

I fixed the story issue for you. You should be able to edit it now, and it's listed under the Mac OS X topic.
