Skybox at Jarama and Monza - rookie1 - 02-03-2007
I think the skybox is not working at Jarama and Monza. Sky looks very dark in these 2 tracks. Anybody noticed?

I agree. It looks like it's showing the default VDrift weather system at around dusk. Speaking of skyboxes, has anyone noticed that on some tracks you can see white seam lines in the skyboxes? That is kind of annoying...is this on the graphics or something about the way the skyboxes are drawn? I'll try to put up a screenshot later.

speaking of skyboxes. is there a way to reliably get the horizon to be drawn in front of the sky? i was using this trick were i made the horizon textures transparent and blended and then they will show up in front of the sky, but then the drawing code changed and the horizon textures started showing up in the middle of the track. hockenheim just got "fixed" but that made the forest horizon disappear, so i removed the sky (again). any suggestions?

If you put it back to the way it was with the old drawing engine, I'll tweak the drawing code until it works.

You could also grab the old list.txt for that track from SVN.

for hockenheim i just commented out the cloudsny entry (it's the last one in the list). just uncomment it.

Check out the latest SVN and see if the newest drawing code fixes all of the problems. If not, let me know what's still wrong.
