Can't add tracks from List of Tracks into vDrift09 - OSX.6 - Hal Rider - 01-21-2011
Hi vDrifters!
I had combined some cars and tracks from other issues to the 09er version which I like to play most. This doesn't work with the tracks from the List of Tracks and I recognized some of the tracks were in the 08er Version, which is no more available to download.
Can somebody give me a hint how to manage this problem?
Secondly it would be great if somebody can give me an info if it's possible to add more than 3 opponents to the race. I already added an extension of laps to the settings folder (option.configs) and it works fine to me to race 10 or 15 laps for a real 30 min. competion on my Macs. But I have no idea how to extend the field of cars.

Hi and welcome.
Game data such as tracks and cars must correspond to the version of the game you want to play. Changes in data format are made for every release. The list of tracks on the wiki has links to the VDrift data development repository, so getting data from there will only work with the latest development version of the game. The three-opponent limit is hard coded into the game currently and you can't change that unless you change the game code.

Then I'll try it again with the 2010version, maybe this works.
Unfortunately with the latest development the cars are shifting too smooth for my opinion and also the 360 doesn't ride well as with the 2009 version.
Anyway, thanks for help!
