rv 2492 - portets - 06-12-2009 i got some pretty miserable performance with this game. (a shame because i love it) something tells me i should get more than 15 fps on medium settings with a geforce 9600m. linux and windows well, it's fixed!!! i updated to rv 2492, and framerate doubled! a fairly constant 30 fps. great job! (still stutters a bit though) to my main point though; i would absolutely love to see opengl 3.x shaders. 30 fps is okay, but gl 3 could probably improve that. any rough idea about when we might see this? - joevenzon - 06-12-2009 What sort of FPS do you get with shadows off? - joevenzon - 06-12-2009 Try updating your data to R432, I threw more performance tweaks in there. I'd be curious to hear what your shadow settings are, and then what you FPS is with and without shadows on. Also mention the car/track combo. - portets - 06-12-2009 everything on: 30 average shadows off: 50 average everything off: 200 average all settings at medium. and under linux. (windows=about 3 fps more) i can run other games full setting x16 antialiasing, even the sims 3. but i have hope for this project after seeing the recent speedup, and can't wait for opengl 3.x to become standard. i'm actually picking up a book on gl3 |
